My Story

Hello!A photograph is more than just a nice image; it captures a special moment in time, never to be repeated quite the same. Whether it's a hidden smile, a misty morning vista, or Mother Nature showing us a glimpse of her power, photos allow you to remember, relive, and share these special moments forever.The name Loose Canon was the inspiration of my father (Bob) reflecting his sense or humour and personality. Whilst he now lives half a world away in China we are still united by our passion for all types of photography.

Its a family affair.
I was introduced to the world of photography at a very young age by my father starting out with my first camera a Zenith fully manual camera. I developed my skills through further education and ultimately turning professional in multiple disciplines such as studio portraiture, weddings, and fashion. It wasn't until later that Ross discovered his true passion for landscape photography, particularly the dramatic displays that Mother Nature has to offer.Bob grew up in the UK but made a life-changing decision to emigrate to Chengdu, China. With amazing scenery, people, culture, and pandas roaming on the doorstep, there is inspiration all around for Bob to indulge in, while occasionally dodging force 8 earthquakes.

Newest on the scene is Reade, my son who is now developing the same love for photography. Travelling at every opportunity to see the fastest, most exotic and interesting cars in every setting from LeMans to a car showroom. The photography bug is clearly passed on in the DNA!
